Mixing up the format for the 1st time and having some fun with pairs!

For the first time in a regular season event, we have mixed up the format!
The Blind Pairing Best Ball format promoted golfers to meet new people, bond with other players, and compete as a team.
This falls directly in line with the ideals of the RDUgolf Tour; We’re all here because we love golf, and there’s no better way to meet of people with the same passion!

Playing the Deer Run to River View routing, Riverwoods layout could not have been better for this event;
With a long, tough front 9 and a playable, thoughtful back 9 (which played 3.5 strokes easier), Best Ball was perfect formay for this layout

Unsurprisingly, the leader board was active with a LOT of red numbers with consistency and partnership led to good things!

Mendez & DiRienzo took 1st NET with -11, 61!
While J. DiRienzo provided clutch pars on 17 and 18, the true highlight is Sebastian Mendez shooting his personal best round; 85!
We LOVE celebrating personal accomplishments and couldn’t be happier to see Sebastian hit this milestone!

Pudney & Gagliano took 1st Gross with -2, 70!
John Gagliano is the reigning Club Champion at Riverwood, so a low number was expected, but a clutch par on #1, A. Pudney contributed himself!
