2026 Match Play Series

After the success of the 2025 TG Carolinas Match Play, we are looking forward to 2026!

A great way to meet, interact, and compete with other members of the Thousand Greens Carolinas community

2026 TGC Match Play Series

This Match Play is for the members of the Thousand Greens Carolina group, and is designed to bring golfers together, inspire golfers to explore the states, and create a level of camaraderie.

Golfers will be placed in a bracket and have a set timeline to communicate with their opponent and determine a mutual time and course to complete their match within a certain timeline.
Winners of the matches will proceed to the next round until a champion is crowned.

Where possible, bracket quadrents will factor regionality, but golfers should expect to travel to an extent.

– Format: Net, Individual Match Play
– Elimination: Single elimination
– Dates: April-October
– Round Duration: 4-8 weeks
– Field Size: 64
– Rules: USGA guidelines
– Handicapping: 80% hdcp

Requirements

– A member of the Thousand Greens Carolinas group
– Reside in the Carolinas
– Active GHIN#
– Flexibility in scheduling
– Amateur status

Consolation Bracket

For golfers that are knocked out in the 1st round, they will enter a Consilation Bracket.
This brackets dates will run in parallel with the main bracket.

Round Deadlines

These dates are a draft and will up finalized once the bracket size is confirmed

– Play-in & Round 1 (32): Complete by April 30
– Round 2 (16): June 30
– Round 3 (8): Sept 13
– Semis-Finals & Finals: TBD (targeting a single weekend)

Cost & Includes

$40

This cost will be used to reduce the price of the Finals round for the qualified golfers and prizes.
Prizes include Cash, TG Gift Cards for Main Bracket Final 4 and Consolation Bracket Finalists
